I'm seeing empty ad containers on NYTimes.com

The NYTimes website changed its layout recently. EasyList (the filter list that blocks ads on English-language sites) hasn't caught up yet. According to this post on the EasyList forum, confirmed by us, the following filter hides the empty ad containers in the meantime.

Warning: Custom filters can break websites and may stop working at any time without warning. Use them at your own risk. Please see this article for more information.

  1. Click the AdBlock button and select Options, then click the CUSTOMIZE tab.
  2. Click Edit to open the custom filters box.
  3. Paste the filter below exactly as given.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Reload the NYTimes.com page you're trying to view.

Copy this filter:

nytimes.com#?#div:-abp-has(> div > div > div[id^="dfp-ad-"])

If it doesn't help, clear your browser cache and cookies, reset your browser settings, and make sure your browser is up-to-date.
