Update April 5, 2018:

The method described below no longer works. Please see this article instead: A site is forcing me to turn off AdBlock before it will let me in

One of our enterprising users (a big shout out to @blastoise186) found the following solution to block the anti-adblock banner on Worcesternews.co.uk and all other Newsquest sites.

(Updated July 13, 2017, with new custom filters)

Note: The banner may appear briefly as the page is loading, but should then go away.

Warning: Custom filters can break websites! These instructions are intended for advanced and power users only. Please read these important warnings before you proceed.

Step 1: Install anti-adblock countermeasures if you haven't already.

Follow Steps 1 through 5 under "Bypass anti-adblocking where possible." You only need to do this once.

Step 2: Copy these custom filters:

###bbpvos[style="display:block!important"]
##DIV[id="__nq__hh"]
##DIV[id="bbpvos"]
###__nq__hh[style="display:block!important"]

Step 3: Add the custom filters to AdBlock.

  1. Click the AdBlock button and select Options, then click the CUSTOMIZE tab.
  2. Click Edit to open the custom filters box.
  3. Paste the filters above exactly as given.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Reload the page you're trying to view.
